Each year Steppes holds an end of year performance. It is not compulsory for students to attend, however we encourage each student to be involved in what is a truly wonderful experience that is the culmination of their efforts during the course of the year.

For the last 10 years we have held our end of year concerts at The Alexander Theatre located at Monash University in Clayton. Due to renovations at The Alexander Theatre we were excited to have our end of year performance at The National Theatre, St Kilda.
Students who perform are required to purchase 1 costume per class they attend. Our costumes look professional and are of the highest quality. Having the costumes professionally made means parents are not expected to sew or make any of the costumes. Ballet students will only require 1 costume unless asked to perform as a group leader. Some groups are given the option to hire costumes.
We are mindful of costs, and attempt to keep costs in-line with the costs of the costumes for previous years; the costumes range in price depending on such factors as, work involved, fabrics and sizes. The ballet costumes for senior levels are usually more expensive.
Many of the costumes are now purchased from companies in the US. We aim to maintain the high quality of costumes as in previous years. We remind parents and students that the costumes become the property of the student after the performance. Hired costumes are not to be taken home and only worn at performances.Prior to costumes being ordered we require full payment.
Please be aware that by committing to the costume you are also committing to being available at the full dress rehearsal and performances.
Not all Dance Magic and Bopping Tots are not expected to perform at all concerts.
